Meet Riceland Grow Good Manager of the Year, Jimmy Brumley!

Helping his grandparents farm while growing up fueled Jimmy Brumley’s passion for the agriculture industry. He has transformed this passion into a 38-year career with Riceland Foods, serving today as the Newport Grain Drier manager.

“I’m very farmer-oriented. I think about how they've kept me and my family a job for 38 years, and without the farmers and the co-op, I wouldn't have anything. They have a job to do, and I always try to help my farmers and take up for them, and I just have a lot of appreciation. I try to help each of them, which means a lot to me,” Brumley said of his responsibilities.

His peers say Jimmy goes above and beyond for his employees and members. He leads by example and cares about everyone individually and their safety. He is active in his community and well-respected among his peers.

Jimmy was nominated by several of his peers and was selected as a Manager of the Year Finalist. At the Riceland Foods annual meeting in November, Jimmy was announced as the 2024 Manager of the Year!
