As a philanthropic organization rooted in the Arkansas Delta and Bootheel of Missouri, the Riceland Foods Foundation has given almost $2 million in grant awards and donations over its 25-year history.

Created to give back to the communities and organizations in which Riceland Foods is involved, the Foundation funds numerous types of projects and groups, including Agriculture, Community Building, Conservation, Education, Youth, Human Services, Arts and Culture, and more.

Riceland Foods Foundation Executive Director Austin Brown shared his thoughts on celebrating the Foundation’s milestone.

“We are excited to continue investing in organizations and communities that positively impact our employees and farmer-members,” Brown said. “Twenty-five years of giving back is something to be proud of. Our goal is to shed light on all the good that this Foundation has done for the communities where we work and live.”

Brown was appointed to this position by the Riceland Foods Foundation Board of Directors in August 2023. He has been with Riceland Foods for four years and serves as the assistant director of sustainability.

Riceland President and CEO Kevin McGilton said the Riceland Foods Foundation has created an impact across the communities the organization has served over the years.

“The Riceland Foods Foundation has served rural communities and activities across our farmer-member footprint,” McGilton said. “The diversity of giving is important to ensure the rich culture and resilience of the communities we serve. Whether it is a small community food bank, a volunteer fire department, or an entity developing our children for the future, these grants are an investment in the places we call home. We are proud to partner with many organizations to create true impact for local communities.”

The Riceland Foods Foundation is focused on awarding financial support for programs and organizations that are valuable to the communities they impact. This year marks the Foundation’s 25th anniversary, and the cooperative is celebrating some of the good work the Foundation has supported over the last several years.
