Ricky is a second-generation farmer with 1400 acres of rice and soybeans in Woodruff, Monroe, and St. Francis counties in Arkansas.

“Every year I try to see how good of a yield I can make and how productive we can be. No two years are the same,” he said. “One year, it can go your way and be great. The next year, Mother Nature can get in the way, and that can make it tough sometimes.”

“My dad, he raised me and taught me how to do it. He always said, ‘Look up, don’t look down. Your word is all you live on. That’s what you got.’”

"I'm not the normal generational farmer,” he said. “I started working for some farmers around the area and was able to get started on my own. The Lord blessed me since then."
